MCI offers Physician Telephone Consultation for COVID-19 Return To Work which can provide HR and Health & Safety teams the confidence that the return to work recommendations have been validated and are following best practice public health guidance.
The complexity of testing, travel and upcoming vaccination options provide challenges for return to work (RTW) recommendations.
Many employees do not have a family physician, or can experience having fragmented care with Public Health disconnected from their physician or RTW process.
The employee is provided with a designated telephone number to consult with our Occupational Physician. The physician will review all relevant details related to the individual’s status and condition. A RTW certificate is provided for the employee whether they are able to RTW immediately, or have received recommendations and are not yet ready to RTW. The employee will be given recommendations related to next steps as required is provided to the employee.
The charge is on a fee for service basis per consultation.
